The Ashe County (NC) Wildlife Club is located in the mountains in "The Coolest Corner of North Carolina" with Virginia to our north and Tennessee to our west. We have a club house with bathrooms and 30 shooting benches looking down a 300-yard rifle range that is the newest range on the International Benchrest Shooting circuit. We also offer all of the shotgun sports with a 5-Stand shooting stand, a skeet field, and pyramid trap. A regular trap field is under construction. We also have a pistol range with 12 movable target stands, plus two steel knockdown stands featuring a total of 12 knockdown targets. Membership is $125 per year ($175 for first year members) with a range of membership plans also available. All club members must belong to the National Rifle Association. We meet the third Monday of each month February - October at the club house (approximately 15 miles from downtown Jefferson) at 7:00 p.m. Out of Town Visitors are welcome to shoot at any of our ranges when accompanied by a member. Just call the president Jerry Powers at 336-977-8788 to set up your visit with us.

Ashe County Wildlife Club is a NRA Gold Medal Club. We used a December 2014 NRA Range Grant to buy new target frames and a storage building to improve our pistol range early in 2015. We are using a 2015 NRA Range Grant to install emergency telephones at all ranges. All ranges should have emergency telephones by Fall 2016. Thanks NRA!!
